Sure you can ask! If you save a picture online somewhere (e.g. through flickr), then you can go into your blog's template and look for the part (very near the beginning of the code) where it specifies "body", and then under "background", put the following:

url("your link here (keep the quotation marks)") 50% 0;

Basically, you're replacing whatever the background colour is with a photo.
